This is the web site of the Astrid Lindgren Association which is an organization in operation to have The Astrid Lindgren Club. The Club or the Association in general is not in any way affiliated with Astrid Lindgren or have any official designation from her or anyone else infulential in Astrid Lindgren's business. I hope that you join the Club and that it will be a wonderful experience for everyone who loves Astrid Lindgren's book, plays, and movies. The Club is free and our monthly newsletter can be mailed without cost by you to any location in the world. For those of you who don't know who Astrid Lindgren is, she is a Swedish children's book authoress, most famous for her books about Pippi Longstocking. All together, she has written over 115 books for children. If you want to know more about her, I recommend that you get her biography written by Eva-Marie Metcalf which can be ordered at any bookstore.
